I DID IT! I DIT IT! Race Time 1:58

Hello Fans and Supporters!

It is 7am on Monday November 13th and I've been up since 3am on my Runner's High off the Adrenaline from my race yesterday morning! So it is about time I update you on my running adventures. After training since July, my Last Chance Half Marathon race finally took place. Here's how it went:

**Photos Have Arrived! See my November 16th post!* *

Short Update:
I DIT IT!!!!!!!!!! My goal was to finish in under 2 hours. This goal was feeling good up until a few weeks before the race. Then winter fell upon Calgary, we had a small blizzard, everything froze, temperatures dropped to consistently sub-zero numbers, the running paths got snowy and icy, and I realized I would be running a winter race rather than a fall one. Nonetheless, I pulled it together, got lucky with good weather and bearable pathway conditions, and finished in 1:58!!!!!!! A Personal Best :) :) I'm extremely stiff and sore all over, even muscles I never knew I had are aching, but it is good pain and worth every second. I plan to take a week off, run about 2 times a week this winter, and then train for a MARATHON starting in March!!

Long Update:
**Skip this if you're short on time or just wanted the major highlights of my Running Adventure**

Actually, I will be posting the long update as a separate post. Stay tuned if you'd like to know even the tiniest details of my race experience!

What an amazing time, Lara -- I am motivated by you for my own little exercize jaunts. You have my utmost respect for your goal-realisation. And I am joyful for your joy.

    Much Love --
