Socialized Out

Yesterday evening we celebrated my succesful race finish! We really celebrated. After pretty much cutting myself off from any socializing (beyond running with friends) for the past month, it was time to make up some lost ground.

We started the evening by meeting our friends Gregory & Heather for drinks and an early dinner before their flight back to Vancouver. We chose Metropolitan Grill, and it did not dissapoint! After dropping them off at the airport, we cruised down to Earl's in Mission to meet a bunch of my running friends for drinks, to celebrate our race. After a couple of drinks there, we headed to the Hyatt Lounge to meet my friends Doree and Laura for yet another round of drinks. After lots of fun merry-making there, it was over for us.

Since we started partying at 4pm, midnight felt more like early morning! We had to work the next day, as it was a Monday, but it was worth it. Dressy clothes, fun places, good drinks, and great company. We definitely made up for lost time last night!
