Barenaked Ladies Concierto!!

It was absolutely fabulous. The boys rocked out and rapped out, improv style, and sang almost all my favourites, and did TWO encores! It was a most excellent show. The open act, Tomi Swift, was mellow and a nice surprise, I recognized 3 or 4 of his songs off the radio.

The BEST part about the whole show was the this girl came up to us when we were in line at TicketMaster waiting to pick up our tickets and offered us a free ticket if we could use it. She didn't want any money for it, just for it not to go to waste. I immediately thought of Stacey, my good friend who lives just a couple of blocks away from the Saddledome, and who would definitely be at home waiting to watch Dr. McDreamy on TV. What's the name of that show that everyone loves?? ..... Oh! Grey's Anatomy. That's the one. And Stacey really likes the BNL... so of course she was in!

It was such a WIN/WIN situation. The girl with the extra ticket was happy that it would be used, and Stacey got to come to a fun concert for free. We even got to sit next to each other because although packed, in our nosebleed section, there were seats available so Stace could just come sit with Laura and I! I love WIN/WIN! And I love people who pay it forward.
