SMOKE-FREE CALGARY!
Calgary is **FINALLY** smoke-free. Yay! I can finally go out with my girlfriends for a night on the town and not have my hair and clothes smell like disgusting smoke at the end of the night. We celebrated on Saturday night, and had an excellent time. However, there is a new problem: Walking through the clouds of smoke at the entrance to each establishment. Although the bylaw requires a distance of 3 metres from the entrance of any building to smoke, this rarely happens. However, I'll take it over the smoke inside the locale!

Yay! Calgary has joined the ranks of the enlightened!
There's a push to get the whole Yukon territory to ban smoking in public buildings. I hope it happens -- last time I ate lunch in Watson Lake I was so disgusted about the smokers at the next table, we moved into a different restaurant. It was shocking after living in Ottawa where the restaurants, at least, have been smoke-fre for years.
