Success Tips!

As requested, here are a few tips about what we learned at our workshop this weekend about success. We got pounded with theory and the material from a book called "The Science of Getting Rich". You may be offended by this title. To explain, the course really deals in how to get "rich" in every area of your life, to be as successful as you can in life. These areas include: relationship with self, health, wealth, knowledge, making your unique contribution to the world, and relationships with others. It is in no way solely focused on financial wealth, because we all know that financial wealth will do nothing to make us truly happy unless we are spiritually wealthy first.

1. Use the "Law of Attraction" to focus on what you really, really, really, really want. Avoid thinking or focusing on what you do not want. The universe will work to bring you what you focus on. To learn more about the Law of Attraction, consult the documentary "The Secret", or read the book "Ask and it is Given" by Esther and Jerry Hicks. The LOA really works. I've noticed small things in my life lately that seem to have come around because I have been focusing on what I want!

2. Visualize what you really, really, really, really want. For example, if you want a new dream home, don't just visualize the dream home, but picture yourself in it. FEEL what it would feel like to own and live in the home. Visualize all the tiniest details about the home, like the kitchen tiles, the wall colour, the doorknobs. Find photos if you need help. Anything that you can picture in your mind first, you can definitely achieve! It may not come overnight, but in small steady steps, working toward any goal is achievable. Also, DREAM BIG! Make sure you really (x4) want what you are setting your mind too, because with perseverance, there is no doubt you can achieve it.

3. Keep a Gratitude Journal. Write down a minimum of 5 things you are grateful for every evening. These could be wonderous, amazing things on the good days, or really basic things on the challenging days. The content doesn't matter. What does matter is that doing this helps keep your thoughts focused on the positive things in life rather than the negative. Having an "Attitude of Gratitude" can go a long way to helping you become successful because it gets you in a place of being thankful for what you do have, which opens you up to having more: health, wealth, success, better relationships, etc.

4. If you share your life with a Spouse, thank them daily for being a part of your life. Even on the rough days! ESPECIALLY on the rough days. This can work wonders toward any family member or person in your daily life.

5. Think hard about the people you surround yourself with. Are THEY positive, successful, supportive, healthy, happy, in general? Look at spending less or no time with negative people who drag you down, or managing it by having a rejuvinating activity to do afterward. Sometimes even deep breathing can really help. Take 3 deep breaths when you need to get grounded. Breathe out TENSION, and breath in CONFIDENCE. Slowly and deliberately, even 3 breaths can help get you back to a good place.

    BONUS success tips:

    6. Nudity is generally frowned upon at public gatherings (unless it happens to be a gathering of "naturists") even if you've visualized that you really, really, really want to be naked at the gathering.

    7. The more low-key you are when pretending that the smell didn't come from you, the better off you are.

    8. I doesn't matter what other people think if you don't care about what other people think, even if it does sometimes matter what other people think.

Good, practical and useful tips, I find. Thanks, La.
Nos. 3 and 5 I have done often; will try to incorporate a couple of the other tips into daily life.
