The Big News

Without further ado...

There was an Engagement in the Woolcott family this Christmas! On Christmas Eve, Barry proposed to his girlfriend of 6 years, Renee, and of course she said yes! With this exciting development, we had so much to celebrate together on Christmas Day. The bottles of Champagne were cracked open at 9am, Renee was glowing, and I've never seen them happier together. They are planning a Summer wedding for 2008, but it's going to be in New Zealand (Renee is from NZ), so Summer means January! Crazy hey?

So I guess Lorne and I should start planning and saving for another trip to NZ, in less than a year. WOW! That place is becoming a home away from home.

The Engagement was especially perfect because Barry proposed while Renee's family (Dad, Mom, Brother, Sister, & Cousin) was here visiting for Christmas. That meant they could share in the excitement directly and immediately, rather than in a removed fashion, on a long-distance phone call. It was just perfect. I'm proud of you, Bro! And I get a new awesome sister. Woo Hoo!
