Hello, Chinook!

Hello, Chinook! Calgary has *finally* warmed up. Today we reached a glorious +7 C and the weather predicted for Thursday (Lorne's Birthday!) is a blissful Sunny & +13 C. WOO HOO!

The last week has been momentous. Monday was Interview Day. Then, a 2 day Introduction to Coaching course provided many insights and learnings. It was fabulous! The course was followed by my last couple of days Recruiting at Canada Post. It's been fun. Did I mention that CPC got me addicted to their catered lunches? A job perk... specifically, I became enamoured with their Nanaimo Bars. Mmmmm... I am going to miss them...

Friday night brought Lorne's Christmas Party. Great food, good company, fun play-money gambling. I made many new friends and fit right in with Lorne's group. In a coincidence, the party was held at exactly the same location as my cousin Vanessa's wedding, which took place in August 2005. Deja vu! It was a great venue.

Our weekend was miraculously unscheduled. Woo Hoo! Lorne and I did a short workshop together, and then did Operation: Laundry on Sunday. I got to go out for a run as well, the first in 2 weeks. I had been waiting for a break in the -30 temperatures to venture outside again! It felt great to be active and outdoors again in the fresh air.

This week promises to be exciting. I'll be back to report in a few days, as Christmas approaches at the speed of Light!

yay, now i'm all caught up again!

i know what you mean about "operation: laundry"... i've done a few of those over the past month....

i hope you enjoy your chinook! as a ski instructor, i have to say i wouldn't be a fan of anything that would melt away our snow. as an ottawan, though, there's no snow to worry about, hah hah, so perhaps a chinook would be nicer than the rain we're having!

(note that i'm trying to think positive ; )

okay, looking forward to more adventures!
    love from k
